Is it Bounty? How about Viva?
My guess is Kirkland brand.
Then again as far as toilet paper brand, to save money, he may go down to the nearby gas station restroom. No cost for the water, soap, or paper products used. Also no cleaning products as the attendant has t odo that. Clark would of course bypass that spray cologne machine due to cost.
My Sisters love Great Value because the sheets are smaller. I buy Kirkland brand but usually use 1/2 a sheet each time. I am happy with the price and size but may try GV brand.
When I am looking to compare brands, I first look at sq ft per package vrs price. That goes for all sorts of things.
I found migrane relief and headache relief tablet the same ingedients in the same dosage and number of pills differed at Walmart. I bought the cheaper per tablet. Sometimes I find the same product in different packaging from the same company at two different prices in two different departments.
For some reason, whenever I buy superglue-type adhesives, my fingers get stuck together. Rather than buy a small bottle of nail polish remover I went for the can of acetone in the hardware section at a lot better price per finger (so to speak).
My favourite brand of papers towels is Brawny, followed by Bounty. Both those brands DO absorb more than bargain/no name brands.
Lava, I use those Nibril gloves in my workshop. Then the glue will be on the glove! For some reason latex gloves donât work for me.
I have always found Bounty to be the best but sometimes I will try store brands to compare and they usually disappoint. I just tried a new âdiscountâ brand, Fiora, that isnât quite as good as Bounty but is far better than the store brands, and considerably less expensive than Bounty. I have buy then again for a little longer test, but so far Iâm impressed.
Thanks, that was quite interesting and most useful information if I need to put coins in a wet paper towel :-). However, my interest in paper towels is that of absorbency and to a lesser degree the speed of absorbency. That coupled with cost per square foot and availability of product when I am in need of replenishing my supply. In my case, I am happy enough with the brand I personally chose as I donât use a lot of them; primarily covering my bacon when I microwave it. For spills I would prefer to use actual dish towels.
I like the Sams club brand (members mark )of paper towels and toilet paper ,both very good and strong . Great value for both when comparing price per sq ft against Brawny and Charmin .
Iâm a cheapskate like Clark. I buy sparkle or store brand price towels. I make sure I get the ones that are half sheets too. I donât understand the fascination with Bounty and other high bucks towels.
Kirkland Signature for me. They are almost impossible to actually destroy.
11/19/2024 Hello @glasspilot One of the main differences, and similar with t.p, is the paper dust shed on the lower âbudgetâ type products, vs their luxury brand counterparts.
Great Value is also sold in la BODEGA AURRERĂ in Mexico.
GV typically is at least 10% less than name brand counterparts, and the quality of GV products, in general, are fine.
The tend to stay together much better. Iâm still trying to find the right balance, but I use paper towels to microwave bacon for breakfast every morning. Bounty and the other âhigh dollarâ brands allow the bacon to fall right off, but the cheaper brands tend to fall apart or stick to the bacon. I also have a ceramic cook top that needs to be cleaned with Barkeeperâs friend, and needs a wet paper towel to apply it. The only way the cheaper brands donât fall apart when wet is to use twice as many towels. I recently found Fiora, which is slightly more expensive than the store brands, but considerably cheaper than the premium brands. IT seems like a good balance.
