I have 23,000 reward miles from major airline. since i live in a small airport town, i have to travel many more miles than the 750 it takes to get to my daughters. Do they charge your miles by tha actual # of miles the plane(s) travel, or as the crow flies?
I could travel 120 miles to a large airport to get a more direct flight, if they charge you by the actual miles.
Is there any trick to using less reward miles when you book?
