Has anyone here used Retirement Planners of America (RPOA). Are there any reviews on them?(good or bad)
I an not familiar with them.
Search for “WCI The perfect financial advisor” for a good article describing the steps for finding a financial planner.
Cool. I will check it out
While I’ve never been a client of Retirement Planners of America (RPOA), I found differing feedback on the internet. While a few reviews praise their personalized retirement planning and advisor responsiveness; I did find a couple of reviews indicating a reluctance to work with RPOA over fees and fewer product choices.
If you are going to work with RPOA, I would schedule a consultation to determine if their philosophy is a good fit for your goals, and request testimonials from satisfied clients. I also encourage looking into any complaints through FINRA BrokerCheck or investment advisor registration.
In conclusion: RPOA could potentially be helpful if you’re looking for personalized advisory services; please thoroughly do your research and comparison shop if you’re considering using their advisory services.
This exactly what I am doing. I have met with them and I am liking what I see so far but I want to do my due diligence before actually signing up with them. What I like so far is that they will actually have a plan. I just retired. 3 years earlier then planned due to company downsizing. I have been with Fidelity but all I seem to get from them is “Yes you can do whatever you want” type of answers. No guidance, no tax planning, no social security strategy, no real plan to help invest properly to help keep my $$ thru retirement. So I have been looking for a firm that will ACTIVELY help me. It is so confusing with all the pieces of ACTUAL retirement. It would be nice to have a trustworthy planner to help move ahead. Of course I am also concerned about the fees to have an actual planner instead of a “set it and forget it” strategy I have had while in the workforce.
