Is it OK for a single, childless person like myself to not have life insurance? I had life insurance for a time in the 2000s, but I apparently had to give it up in order to get food stamp benefits.
I don’t see any reason why you would need it…you have no real beneficiary.

Life insurance is income insurance. If no one is dependent on your income there’s likely no need for it.
