I don’t understand why California passed a minimum wage law of $20 per hour for fast food workers. If it’s so important that everyone make at least $20 per hour why not all workers? What about hotel maids, day care workers, gardeners, unskilled laborers, etc.?? Why pick winners and losers?
Because that’s what politicians do.

If minimum wage increases living standards with no side effects, why not just raise it to $70 an hour so everyone will be upper-middle class. Why pussyfoot around with $20?
