I had a Tesla Cybertruck on order for a year and a half, I got tired of waiting for it and this week bought a Volvo XC40 Recharge. I canceled the Cybertruck order and was reimbursed my $100 deposit in less than 10 minutes.
There are lots of new things to learn about owning and driving an EV. So far it’s been a very pleasant experience and a lot easier transition than I had anticipated.
I had heard Clark talk a lot about the the acceleration performance of his Tesla and thought I was prepared for the experience. I wasn’t, it is nothing short of shocking, you have to experience it to believe it. It does a 12-second quarter mile and 0-60 in 4.7 seconds. And the torque from a dead stop will press you back into your seat’s backrest.
It’s fun to drive again!
