Fake job seekers use AI to interview for remote jobs, tech CEOs say
My company actually got scammed a few years ago when we were hiring someone from a predominately Indian consulting company for an IT position. The person who we interviewed on the phone was quite knowledgeable and crushed the assessment tests, but then the person that showed up on site was not very good. We finally figured out that they were using a designated interview person to fill the rec but then were sending in junior level people for the job. From then on we only did video calls and didnt have anymore issues.
The advancements in AI are going to make this a cat-and-mouse game going forward.
