I want to make sure that Clark approves of them
Buckingham previously had Larry Swedroe as the chief investment strategist. However, Larry has been retired for probably ten years. Still a prolific writer putting the academic research into investing. In the 2000 - 2010 timeframe Larry was a frequent poster on the Bogleheads web site. There are the Diehard Vanguard investors.
Thank You so much
Check their fees. When Larry was the chief market strategist, their fees were 1%. If they went to 1.25% that would be too high. Larry was a value guy and liked DFA funds. Probably still do some of the same things with value. Ask about that.
Their funds have at least in the past tilted to value and small growth. I think that it is unlikely that the returns from their funds (net assets under management fee and the higher expense ratios associated with actively managed funds) will outperform equivalent value or small cap index funds.
Financial Advisors can be beneficial for individuals with significant wealth particulary in the areas of taxes and insurance.
