Clark and the Vanguard Total Stock Market Index?

Howdy,

I recall Clark recommending the Vanguard Total Stock Market Index frequently in the 2010s.
He has not mentioned any specific Index funds recently. Which index funds do Team Clark recommend for beginners?

Total Stock Market Index Fund are excellent choices for all investors. The funds include several thousand publicly traded U.S. companies. Vanguard, Fidelity and Schwab are recommended because they offer Total Stock Market Funds with very low expense ratios. Total Stock Market Funds are available as Exchange-Traded Funds or as Traditional Mutual Funds
