I had a total loss on a car and the insurer offered about 1/2 of what it cost to replace in the market within 500 miles.
After searching the company they use for the valuation, which has been in trouble with numerous states attorney generals, I discovered how often they try lowballing their own customers.
Every attorney I’ve spoken to said it isn’t enough to warrant thousands in attorneys fees and to just sue them in small claims and they’ll usually just pay it since it is a small amount and isn’t worth sending someone out (to boonies). Anyone got what they wanted/needed without filing a lawsuit or going to court? If so, what did you do to get them to cave in?
