Anyone here working with log analysis or observability tools lately?

Hey everyone,

has anyone been diving into log analysis, observability tools or anything related to monitoring system performance lately? I have been exploring a few tools & it is honestly fascinating how much insight you can get from properly collected logs & metrics. I am still fairly new to this whole space so I am doing a lot of reading and testing right now.

One thing I came across that caught my attention was Splunk. It seems powerful but also kinda overwhelming when you are starting from scratch. I was wondering if anyone has had experience with Splunk training such as what resources actually helped you understand it instead of just following steps blindly? Did you go for official courses, YouTube or learned hands-on?

I want to hear what tools you are all using & if you have got any good beginner tips or wish I knew that earlier advice.

Thank you.

This group is concerned more with financial considerations in which quantitative analysis would be more applicable than analysis of systems based on exceptions and event logs.

Splunk is more binary-event driven than something like QA. QA is about analysis of variable data from expected categories and classes.
