59/60 year old male in California. Worked IT for a large Insurance Company. After I retired the companies mainframe I was put out to pasture. Have been figuring out major medical for both myself and my wife last several years, thus decided to focus on Family rather than go get another plentiful job. I enjoy running long distances. Words of wisdom on medical is to read and read. Doctors are human and you need to be your own advocate. Doctors have to follow current guidelines on cancers even if newer research has shown different. On the money side over I am playing the game of making as little income to qualify for as much free stuff as I can while enjoying our lives. Recently purchased a new house for cash, lots of lessons.
