I started my career in Food Service in 1971, while serving in the U.S. Army. I continued in civilian Food Service Management until 2021. I decided I had been working standing up for long enough and took a part-time job as a Medical Courier. My schedule is perfect for a man my age. I am officially scheduled to work 3 1/2 hour shifts on Saturdays and Sundays. The rest of the week, I am on-call. If the phone rings and I am available, I go get their car and do the delivery. If not, They move on to the next name, no foul. They just call me when my name comes up again.
Along the way, my three daughters all grew up and landed on their feet, enjoying the lives they have made for themselves and their families.
My life at 77 is not just good, it’s great.
