In a recent article about rental car insurance, I wanted to mention that I purchase rental car insurance through Costco when I rent a car from Cox Travel.  
I chose this option because I didn’t want any claims to affect my already high auto insurance rates. In late 2024, I had to use the insurance for a cracked windshield, and the claim was handled smoothly and successfully.
