Hello,

Due to an unfortunate mishap, the library book that I have borrowed has water damage. Instead of paying the full price for the book, what are some good sites that I can purchase “like new” books to replace the one that is damaged?

Try [cheapestbookprice.com](http://cheapestbookprice.com) and/or [abe.com](http://abe.com). I’ve been happy with both of them, and almost always get books in better condition than I expected.

Have you asked the library if they’ll agree to your plan?

Amazon usually pops up used options in addition to the new price.

Welcome to the forum! I went through this with a water damaged book a while back and my library let me bring in a used copy of the same edition instead of paying their full replacement price. I still had to pay a small processing fee, but it came out much cheaper. Definitely ask at the desk before you buy anything, since every system has its own rules on that.
