I just received a text that I am 99.9% sure is a scam, since I do not have an account with HFS. The text notifying me a payment is due in three days and referencing the last four digits of the account number, with a link to make a payment. Other than reporting as “junk” and deleting it, is there anything else I should do?

I get these…all…day…long. Block if you can. or report as phising, or junk, or simply delete it.

Thank you for the response. I’ll report it and delete. 😊

## How To Report Spam Text Messages

If you get an unwanted text message, there are three ways to report it:

- Copy the message and [forward it](https://consumer.ftc.gov/now-leaving?external_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ctia.org%2Fconsumer-resources%2Fprotecting-yourself-from-spam-text-messages&back_url=https%3A%2F%2Fconsumer.ftc.gov%2Farticles%2Fhow-recognize-and-report-spam-text-messages) to 7726 (SPAM). This helps your wireless provider spot and block similar messages in the future.
- Report it on the messaging app you use. Look for the option to report junk or spam.
