Microsoft appears to be backing away from a forced MS Login on 11. I too refuse to use one and only use local accounts.

Also, I refuse to let MS force me to encrypt my hard drive. People lose the key and that can be a royal pain, if they can find it, that is.

I have had to pull a drive out of one system, attach it as a secondary drive (or external USB drive) to fix problems or recover data.

If I want to encrypt a folder or a secondary drive with sensitive data, there are programs like Veracrypt I can use.
