I have been trying to understand Google Voice. I have it installed on my Android phone. Does anyone know if there is a version of Google Voice that will allow me to use my Linux Mint PC to make phone calls and send text messages?

Yes, you can. I’m still trying to figure it out, but it works

Found it. I went to Google Chat and then to the Help Center for instructions. There is a section on installing the stand alone app on Linux, I think. Sorry I did not take notes.

It works great for both calls and text messages from my desktop. If I can help, let me know.
