# Global Entry application pending

I applied for global entry in mid august - it still says application pending as of October 12! Does anyone have any insight to how long this process takes?

I forgot how long it took, but GE is a cool thing! Great thing beating the line like a VIP

It varies a lot. I believe the FBI does all the background checks. They may be a bit busy nowadays. It took about six weeks for mine and my wife’s over ten years ago.

Actually, the application review process has gone smoothly for our family every time. It usually hasn’t taken more than a couple of days. We renewed 3 memberships this year. What takes so long is getting an appointment for the interview.
