Is it ok to eat homemade muffins that has one egg after 5 days? They have been in the refrigerator.

There are several food safety hotlines, including the FDA Food Information Line, the USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline, and the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets Food Complaints line:

- **FDA Food Information Line** : Call 1-888-SAFEFOOD (1-888-723-3366) to speak with an FDA Information Specialist Monday through Friday, 10 AM–4 PM ET, except federal holidays. You can also access recorded messages 24 hours a day.
