# Cal EDD lost $20B to fake accounts and growing

Innocent people receive 4,6,10 checks from EDD to their mail box, and the thieves follow the postman and usually get there first. But not always. That’s how EDD know about it.

The innocent receivers make some calls about these checks.

What the EDD has failed to explain, and fails to answer the obvious questions, why does your computer allow multiple checks, made out to multiple names, be sent to one address?
