While visiting the Xfinity store to discuss a billing issue the sales person said that if I updated my plan I could get a FREE iphone. I said I didn’t need another phone as mine are current and he then offered a FREE ipad. Well that sounds like a good deal but there are hooks. First, I had to go on auto pay where they take my payment out of my bank account. Months go by and my bill keeps going up so I had to dig down on their website to see exactly what I was being billed. It was not easy, they make it as difficult as possible. I found that I was being billed for cellular access (even though I told them we wouldn’t want it) and they were billing me for the device itself. To be sure, there was a “credit” in the bill that offset the monthly cost but not entirely. I found that I was actually paying for the ipad in an underhanded and much disguised way. I discovered that I could not change my plan on line so went to the store - MULTIPLE times to try to fix this and every time came away with assurance that they had corrected it. I am now looking to change carriers hoping to find someone more honest.

And that’s exactly why I will never do auto pay.
