# AutoSlash for Reserving Rental Cars

Been using AutoSlash for at least 10 years and it works! 75% of the time it even gets me a cheaper rate than it’s already low one, usually about 3-4 weeks before pickup date.

Reserving through Costco is almost always better, if not always.

Glad it’s been helpful. I just used it to compare rates for a compact SUV, picking up and returning in Portland, Maine, for 8 days in mid-August 2025. Best rates quoted from AutoSlash were around $1,250. We’d reserved earlier through Budget, and price was $438. I may try AutoSlash again in the future, but for now, it doesn’t seem particularly great.
